SERVE ON THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE

THE CITY IS NO LONGER SEEKING VOLUNTEERS TO FILL THESE POSITIONS

The City is seeking volunteers to serve on the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee (CPAC).

If interested in serving , please email City Secretary Shelly Green at citysecretary@mclendon-chisholm.com and indicate you are interested in serving. It is important that anyone appointed to the committee attend all meetings and participate through project completion so please consider availability for meetings prior to volunteering. Council will consider nominees for appointment at a special meeting to be held April 1.

2021 MC5K, 10K and Fun Run

Join us for the MC5K and 10K! Both events will start and finish at City Hall in McLendon-Chisholm where there will be local vendors, food available a bounce house, and music. All participants will receive a T-Shirt and swag bag with their registration. Proceeds are to help establish a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) for our city.

The MC 5K and 10K will be done in a safe, socially-distanced wave start fashion. (10 runners per wave.)

We will NOT have a mass start. Instead, we will have you start in small socially-distanced. (10 runners per wave). The 10K will start at 8:45 A.M. and the 5K will start at 9:00 A.M. On Race Day (The Starter will let you know when you can start. We will get everyone’s individual start time and base the results on the Chip elapse time.)

Packet pickup will be on Race Day March 27, from 7:30-8:45 A.M. The results/awards will be ready at 10:00 A.M. Awards will be given to the top 3 Males/Females in the following Age Group Catagories 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 and over.

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Masks are encouraged to be worn when you are within 6 ft of others.

MCFR Ground Breaking

McLendon-Chisholm Fire Rescue Public Safety Building Ground Breaking

City leaders, area dignitaries, residents and members of the McLendon-Chisholm Fire Rescue Department gathered opposite City Hall for the graound breaking of the new MCFR Public Safety Building.

This state-of-the-art 11,400 s.f. facility will consists of a three apparatus bay fire station with office space for future police staff. The entry tower will lead visitors into a reception area. Standing seam roofing and manufactured stone will compliment the City Hall building. Expected completion for this project is estimated to be 4th quarter 2021.
