Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. In addition, the City Council will meet and hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. At such times and place, the Commission and City Council will consider the application of Steven Smith on behalf of Watson Way Estates requesting a change in zoning from “SF 2.5” Single Family 2.5 to “PD” Planned Development District for the development of a 10 single-family residential subdivision with minimum one and one-half acre lots on 27 acres of land currently zoned 2.5 which requires a minimum lot size of two and one-half acres of land. The property location is adjacent to the intersection of FM 550 and FM 1139 on the southeast side of the intersection. The property is described as county parcel ID numbers 10783, 45857, and 10782. Zoning of the subject property will amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of McLendon-Chisholm. Citizens are invited to attend and participate in the public hearings.

Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. Further, the City Council of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032.  At such times and place, the Commission and Council will consider the application of Bill Thomas requesting a change in zoning from Agriculture zoning district [requires two and one-half acres of land for each dwelling] to the SF 1.5 zoning district [requires one and one-half acres of land for each dwelling].   The property location is all of Rockwall CAD Property ID # 10849 containing 24.61 acres of land located at the east end of Savannah Hill Lane. Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. In addition, the City Council will meet and hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. At such times and place, the Commission and City Council will consider the application of Peloton Land Solution requesting a change in zoning from General Business and SF 2.5 zoning districts to a Planned Development district for General Business uses, restaurants, and Food Trucks and Food Trailers. The property location is at the northeast corner of the intersection of SH 205 and FM 550. Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032. At such time and place, the Board will consider the application of Perry Bowen, requesting a variance to the 500 square footage restriction for additional buildings on a residential property, and a variance to allow the house and guest house to be built at the same time. PUBLIC HEARING: Lot Variance – 430 Smith Road

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. At such time and place, the Board of Adjustment will consider the application of Peter and Janyce Gardner requesting a variance to the minimum lot frontage on a public way from the required 300’ to  the existing 98.67’ for the purpose of providing access to the property. A second request is for a variance of the minimum lot width of 300’ to the existing width of 198’. The property location is described as 6.995 acres, A0133 K Latham, Tract 11-01 also described as 430 Smith Road, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas.  Citizens are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing.

PUBLIC HEARING: Special Use Permit – 1388 S. SH 205

Notice of Public Hearing: The Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032.

Further, the City Council of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on February 23, 2022 at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032. At such times and place, the Commission and City Council will consider the application of Alissa Mauldin requesting an amendment to a Special Use Permit to allow Providence Academy, a classical, Christian, University Model School, to allow an enrollment of 350 children for use by Kindergarten – 12th grade students and 50 staff members using the existing facilities at Chisholm Baptist Church, plus an additional two temporary buildings that will house 4 additional classrooms in order to expand our capacity for the 2022-2023 school year, to be located at Chisholm Baptist Church, located at 1388 South State Highway 205, McLendon-Chisholm, also described as Lot 1, Block 1 of Chisholm Baptist Church Addition currently zoned General Business.

PUBLIC NOTICE: COMPREHENSIVE PLAN

The City of McLendon-Chisholm Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing to receive input on the proposed Comprehensive Plan Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 7 pm and will consider a recommendation for adoption of the Comprehensive Plan on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 7 p.m.  Additionally, the McLendon-Chisholm City Council will hold a public hearing to receive public input on the Comprehensive Plan Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 6:30 pm and will consider adoption of the Comprehensive Plan on Wednesday, September 29, 2021 at 6:30 pm.

All meetings will be held at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall located at 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. The proposed Comprehensive Plan will be available for viewing online prior to the meetings and copies will be available at City Hall or by contacting the City Secretary at 972-524-2077 or CitySecretary@mclendon-chisholm.com.

This notice only applies only to a taxing unit other than a special taxing unit or municipality with a population of less than 30,000 regardless of whether it is a special taxing unit.
