We are looking for volunteers to serve the community on the Planning and Zoning Commission, Board of Adjustments and the Audit Committee.
The Planning and Zoning Commission is an advisory board appointed by the City Council and empowered by City ordinances and Texas State law. The Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning applications, plats, and zoning and subdivision regulations. Comprised of five members and alternates who are appointed by Council for two year terms.
This Board of Adjustment is comprised of five members and two alternates who are appointed by Council for two year terms. The Board authorizes requests for variances from the zoning ordinance when it is not contrary to the public interest. All meetings are scheduled in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Act.
The Audit Committee shall provide guidance to the City Council with respect to oversight for financial reporting, internal controls and auditing activities.
Your applications will be reviewed by the City Council for appointments to the commission, board and committee.
The Deadline to submit an application to the City Secretary by July 6, 2018.
