We are a community that desires to protect our wide-open spaces to preserve a more rural lifestyle. We value the fresh country air, natural wildlife, tranquil sunrises and sunsets, and seeing the stars shine brightly at night against a dark sky!
We embrace the liberty to live more freely, which is why, as other cities work to develop taxpayer-funded “amenities” and “services” to help cultivate municipal growth, we are vigilant to keep the size and scope of our city government as limited as possible, which keeps municipal taxes to a minimum and out of citizen’s lives.
We respect those who have come to expect more from their local government, which many wonderful cities neighboring ours can accommodate, but that’s just not the kind of city we want to become.
So if you share our values then we encourage you to take a closer look at McLendon-Chisholm and consider becoming a part of our wonderful community!
