New Activities Committee members.

The City of McLendon-Chisholm welcomes Charisse Ibarra (above right) and Amy Johnson (above left) to the City’s Activity Committee. This new committee will provide guidance and planning for City activities, special events and festivals.

Charisse has 26 years of experience as an executive assistant, primarily in telecommunications, biotechnology, finance, and technology sectors. She reloacted from Silicon Valley to Texas in 2016 and has embraced the Texan lifestyle. Charisse is married with two children and has seven dogs.She founded a non-profit organization 20 years ago aimed at providing opportunities for children in competitive sports and higher education.

Amy brings over 15 years of experience in event planning and finds it rewarding to see the happiness and connections that events bring. She is married with two sons. Amy holds a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership from Palm Beach Atlantic University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Jackson State University. She has earned multiple hospitality-focused certifications and awards, including being named Change Maker of the Year in 2019.

Both Charisse and Amy are excited about facilitating engagement and connection between the community and city leaders through events and fellowship, that highlight the City.
