This is your opportunity to do some spring cleaning and the City of McLendon-Chisholm would like to help. All residents are encouraged to participate in the Cleanup Campaign.

  • The Cleanup Campaign is a service for the residents of McLendon-Chisholm and NOT for people from other communities, contractor’s, or businesses.
  • The City website will be updated as more information becomes available.
  • A roll off dumpster will be located at 1371 West FM 550, please bring the ACCEPTED items to this location for disposal.

PUBLIC HEARING: Lot Variance – 430 Smith Road

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. At such time and place, the Board of Adjustment will consider the application of Peter and Janyce Gardner requesting a variance to the minimum lot frontage on a public way from the required 300’ to  the existing 98.67’ for the purpose of providing access to the property. A second request is for a variance of the minimum lot width of 300’ to the existing width of 198’. The property location is described as 6.995 acres, A0133 K Latham, Tract 11-01 also described as 430 Smith Road, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas.  Citizens are invited to attend and participate in the public hearing.


Community spirit and pride were high on Saturday, March 12, as a large gathering of McLendon-Chisholm citizens, firefighters and city, county and state leaders turned out for the ribbon cutting and dedication of the new Mike Donegan Public Safety Building.

Mike Donegan was the beloved Mayor of McLendon-Chisholm from 1994 to 2010, which is the longest tenure in the history of the city. His family was also in attendance, and his wife, Sharon, held the honor of cutting the ribbon. Enjoy these photos from this special day…

Dedication & Ribbon Cutting of the Mike Donegan Public Safety Building

The community is invited to the dedication and ribbon cutting of the new Mike Donegan Public Safety Building (1371 FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm) on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 10am.

Following the ceremony stay to enjoy the open house from 10:00am to 3:00pm. Events include station tours, fire truck static displays, fire fighting demonstrations, kids activities and more.

In-N-Out burger truck will be handing out delicious burgers from 11am to 1pm, while supplies last.

Mike Donegan served as Mayor of McLendon-Chisholm from 1994 to 2010, which is the longest tenure in the history of the city. After he was Mayor, Mike worked behind the scenes and was a strong supporter and mentor to past and current councilmembers. A native Texan, Donegan was a 1972 graduate of Texas A&M University where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Captain during his five years of duty. Mike sadly passed away last year.
