Public Hearing Notice – Zoning Change FM550 and FM 1139

Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. In addition, the City Council will meet and hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. At such times and place, the Commission and City Council will consider the application of Steven Smith on behalf of Watson Way Estates requesting a change in zoning from “SF 2.5” Single Family 2.5 to “PD” Planned Development District for the development of a 10 single-family residential subdivision with minimum one and one-half acre lots on 27 acres of land currently zoned 2.5 which requires a minimum lot size of two and one-half acres of land. The property location is adjacent to the intersection of FM 550 and FM 1139 on the southeast side of the intersection. The property is described as county parcel ID numbers 10783, 45857, and 10782. Zoning of the subject property will amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of McLendon-Chisholm. Citizens are invited to attend and participate in the public hearings.

Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. Further, the City Council of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032.  At such times and place, the Commission and Council will consider the application of Bill Thomas requesting a change in zoning from Agriculture zoning district [requires two and one-half acres of land for each dwelling] to the SF 1.5 zoning district [requires one and one-half acres of land for each dwelling].   The property location is all of Rockwall CAD Property ID # 10849 containing 24.61 acres of land located at the east end of Savannah Hill Lane. Zoning of the subject property will amend the official Zoning Map of the City of McLendon-Chisholm. Citizens are invited to attend and participate in the public hearings.

Notice is hereby given that the Planning & Zoning Commission of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet and hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 W. FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, TX 75032. In addition, the City Council will meet and hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. At such times and place, the Commission and City Council will consider the application of Peloton Land Solution requesting a change in zoning from General Business and SF 2.5 zoning districts to a Planned Development district for General Business uses, restaurants, and Food Trucks and Food Trailers. The property location is at the northeast corner of the intersection of SH 205 and FM 550. The property contains 8.36 acres of land including Rockwall CAD ID #108612, 11384, and 11442.  Zoning of the subject property will amend the Official Zoning Map of the City of McLendon-Chisholm. Applications for Planning & Zoning Commission Being Accepted

The City of McLendon-Chisholm is accepting applications for two regular positions and up to three alternate positions on the Planning & Zoning Commission.

The Planning & Zoning Commission is responsible for the development and implementation of plans for the future growth, development and redevelopment of the City. The Commission shall also be responsible for the review and consideration and recommendation for approval or rejection to the City Council of all development plans and proposals, zoning requests, subdivision plats and replats, site plans and zoning regulations and ordinances. The Commission shall further be responsible for the review and consideration of the adoption, updating, and revision of land use assumptions.

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month when there is a case to be heard. The application for appointment to the Commission is available on the City website or by contacting the City Secretary.

Applications should be returned to the City Secretary at citysecretary@mclendon-chisholm.com, by mail, or in person.  Applications must be received no later than Friday, June 10, 2022.

Applications for Board of Adjustment Being Accepted

The City of McLendon-Chisholm is accepting applications for two regular positions and up to four alternate positions on the Board of Adjustment.

The Board of Adjustment authorizes variances from the zoning ordinance when it is not contrary to the public interest. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month when there is a case to be heard. The application for appointment to the Board is available on the City website or by contacting the City Secretary.

Applications should be returned to the City Secretary at citysecretary@mclendon-chisholm.com, by mail, or in person.  Applications must be received no later than Friday, June 10, 2022.

PUBLIC HEARING: Variance 1533 Vista Court

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Adjustment of the City of McLendon-Chisholm will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at McLendon-Chisholm City Hall, 1371 West FM 550, McLendon-Chisholm, Texas 75032. At such time and place, the Board will consider the application of Perry Bowen, requesting a variance to the 500 square footage restriction for additional buildings on a residential property, and a variance to allow the house and guest house to be built at the same time. THE ANNUAL MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY IS MAY 30, 2022

The City will hold the Annual Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 30th, 2022 starting 1:00 p.m. at City Hall, honoring the men and women who died while serving in the US military. The public is invited to attend.
